Dog Days of Summer

Hi stitchers!

Well the dog days of summer are officially here…and it’s hot.  That means more time for crafting inside in the nice air conditioning.

Contrary to the amounts of posts on this blog, I HAVE been stitching.

I’ve been furiously working on Barbara Ana’s All Creatures Great and Small (40 ct linen, 1-over-2, picking colors at random based on her DMC suggestions). I love working on this piece. I have the upper-left corner DONE:

I also picked up Prairie Schooler’s Miss Fortune again and I’m flying through it:

I was also knitting up a storm but have had to slow down because of hand/wrist/finger pain from knitting TOO MUCH. I have a few socks finished and some more on the needles (Ravelry: doghairstitchery). And celebration: I just cast on my first sweater!

Currently working on (other than socks): Joji Locatelli’s Starting Point MKAL (huge wrap).

I have a lot of stitching/knitting plans like usual- including our wedding sampler that I FINALLY picked out and kitted up (over a year after the fact). I can’t wait to share: A Sweeter Love by Plum Street Samplers; 36 ct. Vintage Buttercream by Lakeside Linens, using the called for NPI Silks. [I rarely stitch in silk. I love it when I do though; I have silk tastes on a DMC budget, as I like to say, BUT if there was a time to stitch in silk, this is IT! ;)]

Happy stitching!
Amy
